"We are so glad that we hired Angie as our doula for the birth of our son, Isaac. She was extremely professional, caring and attentive before, during and after the birth.

We didn't know if we wanted someone else there during such a personal event, but it proved to be one of the best decisions that we ever made. With her help, I was able to have the VBAC (vaginal birth after cesearean ) that I hoped for.

Thank you so much Angie!"

"I want to say thank you so much for your course.  The information you presented to us over the four days of the course was simply invaluable.  From labour to this day  we still recall the things you showed and told us.

No amount of reading information in a book can compare to having someone, an experienced someone, to talk with, to ask questions of, and to share experiences with.  Your knowledge and experience, particularly in the Taiwan situation, gave us so much of the confidence that we needed.  And for us that was the key to managing our pregnancy well.

So from the bottom of our hearts we send our sincerest thanks and appreciation to you. "

Dear Angie,

We just wanted to thank you for everything you did to prepare us for the birth of our child, Liam.  First of all, it is wonderful to find a class conducted in English here in Taiwan.  And your classes covered such a variety of topics – we felt much more informed and confident when the big day arrived.

From the very first session, you provided an intimate and warm setting in which we could speak openly about our questions and concerns.  The materials that we received were all extremely helpful and we referred to them often throughout the pregnancy.  Also, we really appreciated your focus on the natural birth process and your dedication to providing as much information as possible about all our options.

We had a fantastic birth experience thanks to your extensive advice and support, which still continues today…thank you so much for everything.  We will never forget this experience!

Your friends,

Ann, Thierry and Liam

Dear Angie,

I wanted to make sure I took time to thank you for all that you did for me.  If you did not help us, we would not have had the confidence to have a natural delivery being new to a country for 6 months.

You encouraged us, empowered us, and in many ways comforted us only a doula knows how.  Looking back at the video I realized that pretty much, you were the one that delivered my baby.  The doctor caught the baby but without you, I would have torn terribly.  So, thank you thank you thank you.

Without you, I would have needed a lot longer to recover and could not have been able to travel internationally just 3 weeks post-partum.

Both baby and I have been and are in good health.  As you can see from the picture, the baby came out and latched on instantly, and that first day, she latched on at 9am and did not let go until 10pm that day.  Amazing.  Yes, I have sore nipples, but that child is quite the nurser as I have her latched on right now, as I hunch over my desk with a boppy pillow on my lap and baby nursing away while I type.  This is the only way that post-partum women get anything done right?  :)  Especially one with 4 kids under the age of 5.  Oh, Lord have mercy on me!  :)  Anyways, I just wanted to thank you so so so much.

"To anyone who is pregnant and planning to deliver for the first time (or second, third, or fourth perhaps) in Taiwan...and is wondering how things are going to go, how to communicate with the nurses during delivery, how to well, have a baby-I recommend checking into Angie with Beautiful Beginnings.

Angie is a very knowledgeable, helpful, wonderful doula who cares about her clients. Angie travelled to Taichung and went above and beyond in helping my family give birth to our little one. I was kinda stressed out before we decided to have Angie at the birth, but after we decided to have her help us I was able to relax-so actually Angie was helping me a lot before the birth even started.

Then, during our long, long birth process, Angie helped us through this new and difficult path. And during the actual intense time of delivery, she was there to help me focus and make it through the contractions. While of course this is a business for Angie, one can safely say that she cares more about her clients than about the money. I don’t want to just sound like an infomercial for B/B but to any mom out there who is going to give birth-Angie is a blessing to have as your doula! "
